Ingredients

olive oil

8 cups or 4 containers, 227 g each
various mushrooms, chopped*

onion, peeled and finely chopped

garlic clove, finely chopped

can Italian tomatoes
796 ml
1/4 cup
parsley, chopped
60 ml
Parmesan, grated, to taste
Salt and pepper

Directions

Step 1
In a large saucepan, heat the oil and brown the mushrooms and onion. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Add the garlic and continue cooking for a few minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, mash them with a spoon as needed, then simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
Step 3
Mix sauce with long pasta or pour over polenta, then top with parsley and parmesan cheese.
Step 4
*For express preparation, chop the mushrooms in a food processor.
