Directions
- Step 1
- Place the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Step 2
- Slice the apples into 5 or 6 rings widthwise. Using a small knife, remove the cores from the apples to create rings.
- Step 3
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, and vanilla until the texture is smooth.
- Step 4
- In a skillet, heat about 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of butter over medium heat.
- Step 5
- Place an apple ring in the crepe batter and turn it to coat.
- Step 6
- Using a large spoon, remove the ring while also taking some crepe batter with it. Immediately place it in the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes, until the apple crepes are golden brown.
- Tip: Cook 3 to 5 apple rings at a time, depending on the size of the skillet.
- Step 7
- Turn the apple rings and cook the other side for about 2 minutes, until it is golden brown as well. Place the apple crepes on a baking sheet. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until there are no more apple rings left.
- Step 8
- Place the baking sheet with the apple crepes in the oven for 10 minutes to finish cooking.
