- Maple sauce
- 2 cups
- 35% cream
- 500 ml

- maple syrup
- 375 ml
- 1/2 cup

Directions

- Cake
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.

- In another bowl, using a hand-mixer, or stand-mixer, beat the sugar and eggs until very creamy, about 3 minutes. Add the melted butter and vanilla. Next, add the milk, alternating with the dry ingredients.

- Maple sauce
In a saucepan, bring the ingredients to a boil and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

- Place the cake batter in a square-shaped, 9x9 unbuttered pan, and gently pour the maple sauce over top. Cook in the oven for about 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden in colour and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
